TA22 Celica - Part I

It's been a while since I updated this blog, not enough time etc etc. So here's a bit of an update just running through the progress with the final image the latest state of the model. It's starting totake shape now I think.

The wheels for this car, nothing special but I like them.

The initial roughed out model, I didn't like how it turned out too much so...

...LHS old, RHS new.

The most recent progress.

A few problems fixed above.

That's all for now, stay tuned.

It's Never too Deep

So I decided to start on a new project, most of you know I make some exotics, (Lamborghinis. Ferraris etc). However I do like my old japanese cars, so going to make a Toyota Celica TA22.

Not many people would go this wide for any car, but the Aussie owner of this car did, and it works.

You can read more about this fantastic car here.

So for this project I want to try some new techniques out, things that I've wanted to but was always too lazy to try. First up, spline caging...

...this was not fun by any means, but the blueprints were so bad I had no other option, good to learn nonetheless.

That concludes the progress on this project so far, stay tuned for more updates!

So here's a fairly recent render (Model byTurn10 Studios) to kick things off. This blog will pretty much be comprised of some CG work, and possibly some techniques that I learn and could be helpful to others.
